In minutes no one could stand closer than ten feet away!  Soon hot dogs and marshmallows were roasting over the coals and s’mores were being assembled. It was a fun evening – and there’s still more wood for the next one!

Annual Business Meeting is Scheduled for today, November 12th: The business meeting begins at the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy. All who attend All Saints are encouraged to attend. Updates on all activities of the parish, including the recent construction, are presented either in booklet form or presentation. Parish Council election also occurs with only those on the membership role, eighteen and older, being eligible to vote. At the printing of the bulletin, the following names are on proposed for the ballot: Valerie Abshire, Cathy Alexander, James Finchum, Daniel Mullis, and Lina Tabbal. A pitch-in meal follows.

Food Pantry: What an offering to the pantry came in last week! But lest we forget, please continue to contribute as you are able so that no one who needs food suffers from hunger.

Thanksgiving Feast: Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board to help Charles, our coordinator, know who is coming and what is being donated.

Receiving the Eucharist: We invite you to receive the Holy Eucharist if you are an Orthodox Christian who has prepared yourself through fasting, prayer, and recent confession. If you are not Orthodox, or are Orthodox but have not prepared, we invite you to receive a piece of the blessed bread in the wooden bowls held by the altar servers at the front of the church.

As we approach the Nativity Fast with thoughts of sharing with others, we will be adding to our offering something initiated by Alex of eternal memory: warm hats, gloves, mittens and scarves for needy school children. Also we will continue to place gift cards on the Giving Tree as St. Nicholas Night grows near. Let us spread joy to others and therefore increase our joy in giving!

Brethren, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work. Brethren, you know that a man is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. Even we have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ, and not by works of the Law, because by works of the Law shall no one be justified. But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we ourselves were found to be sinners, is Christ then an agent of sin? Certainly not! But if I build up again those things which I tore down, then I prove myself a transgressor. For I through the Law died to the Law, that I might live to God. And a woman, who had had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be healed by anyone, came up behind Him, and touched the fringe of His garment; and immediately her flow of blood ceased. And Jesus said, “Who was it that touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the multitudes surround Thee and press upon Thee! And Thou sayest, ‘Who touched Me?’” But Jesus said, “Someone touched Me; for I perceive that power has gone forth from Me.” And when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before Him declared in the presence of all the people why she had touched Him, and how she had been immediately healed.
